Prevention Network Outreach
Prevention Network Outreach’s unified team is trained to communicate with and support teens and parents in encouraging them to “Expect More, Get More” from our youth. In some urban areas, decades of low expectations have overshadowed any hope for a brighter future. To ensure community relevance and maximize effectiveness, the creative team conducted focus groups within the targeted communities to “hear the hearts” of teens, parents, and community members in the areas to be served. The insights gathered were then used as a key resource for developing community-based programs.

Prevention Network Outreach comprehensive approach includes five (5) tiers community saturation interventions:
Tier 1
Risk Avoidance Education, where scholars will learn from core curriculums Choosing the Best Way (Grades 5-8) and Choosing the Best Journey (Grades 9-12)
Tier 2
Replication of YouLEAD Pursing My Dreams that prepares young people for the future, growing patterns, teaching job readiness, career pathways exploration and financial literacy (Grades 8-11)
Tier 3
Caring Adults/Parent Network for parents and other caring adults;
Tier 4
Social Media Marketing Initiative
Tier 5
Choosing the Best (CTB) core curriculum teaches healthy decision-making, self-regulation, and delaying the initiation of sexual activity

Referrals and connections to youth-friendly services are crucial for ensuring that young people receive the care they need. Prevention Network Outreach services Oklahoma schools, community centers, group homes, churches, and juvenile detention centers.
